My war on procrastination

Saturday, April 07, 2007

I've finally got my hands on a copy of Steven Pressfield's 'The War of Art'. It's not fair on Pressfield but I'm putting a lot of faith in him to cure my life.

The foreword to the book is by Robert McKee, author of Story. He writes this:
I can procrastinate thinking about my procrastination problem. I can procrastinate dealing with my problem of procrastinating thinking about my procrastination problem.
Pressfield, in his own preface, writes:
There's a secret that real writers know that wannabe writers don't, and the secret is this: It's not the writing part that's hard. What's hard is sitting down to write.
I'm feeling hopeful.
