My wormhole dreams dashed

I'm a bit late to pick up on this, I know, but it seems that Stargate is not based on an accurate representation of what a wormhole can do. The BBC reports here that a couple of recent investigations (not physical, obviously) of wormholes prove that the theories of using them as transport terminii are flawed. I like this statement:
Oh, wait a minute. I'm getting confused. That was a quiche.
Wormholes entirely governed by the laws of quantum mechanics, on the other hand, would likely transport their payloads to an undesired time and place.Ah, well. And after all the time I've put in lately trying to build my own wormhole generator.
