More books for true Brits!

I'm blogging from the British Library this evening. I can't get my wireless connection to work, however, so I won't be posting until later.
It has been a while since I was here. Given that it's after 6pm now the reading room is still busy. So much for lazy students and academics, eh? Of course they will all be illegal immigrants and asylum seekers trying to better themselves using our first class facilities, keeping out the thousands of real British citizens who want to be in here instead of being forced down the pub. No doubt Michael Howard and his allies in the BNP will be popping in to remove anyone with a dark skin seen leafing lasciviously through the white pages of a book.
One of the really annoying things about the library at the moment is that you cannot order books online yet. Given that if you want to look at something you must request it by 4pm or it's not available until the following day that makes any spontaneous decision to pop in and do some research extremely hard for those otherwise occupied during the day. Moan, moan, moan. Give over!
